No problem Google has released a device just right for you. It is known as the Google Chromecast
The Google Chromecast is a tiny device, comparable to your USB thumb drive, that plugs into your television's HDMI port. It has a LED indicator light, a micro USB port and a reset button. Holding the reset button for 25 seconds resets the device.

The device has to be powered externally ( it does not have a battery ) either by plugging the micro USB cable ( that comes with it ) in to the USB port of your television or by plugging the power adapter in the wall.
The initial setup is quite simple, can be done by using Android, Windows or Mac. It simply requires you to connect to your WiFi network ( only 2.4 Ghz networks compatible ).
In terms of streaming content, you will be able to stream a Google chrome tab, a video directly from Youtube or content from Netflix.
The pricing is damn cheap. The Chromecast retails for just $35.
It is simply the easiest and cheapest way of turning your regular TV into a smart TV.
