Is Xbox one cheaper than PS4?

Yes it is true that Xbox one is actually cheaper than PS4.

You may be thinking that Xbox one sells for $499 while PS4 goes for $399, then how is it cheaper?
Let me explain.

First of all, the Xbox one comes bundled with Kinect. While on the other hand, you will have to buy the Playstation eye camera separately for $60.


Also, recently Microsoft has announced that all Xbox one pre-orders will come with a digital copy of FIFA 14 absolutely free. They are also planning a similar Call of Duty:Ghosts edition too. So it adds another $60.

Also the Xbox one comes with a headset, while the PS4 doesn't. That means another $30-$40.

So surprisingly if you calculate, the actual cost of just the Xbox one console comes out to be $349 ($499 - $60 -$60 - $30). That means $50 cheaper than the PS4. 

Microsoft has taken some serious measures to restore its falling reputation after E3 2013. Microsoft removed the DRM policy, compulsion to connect Kinect, 24 hour-once-a-login policy.

The Xbox one does not seem to be a bad deal. So you guys need to think once again before selecting your console.
